The vision for Shop4Canadians began in the fall of 2020 when we were thinking about starting our Christmas shopping. The world had been turned upside down by a global pandemic and how we shopped was changing, but more importantly where we shopped became the priority.
We wanted to shop Canadian made products and we wanted to support small businesses, their families and their employees. This was a challenging venture for us. We spent hundreds of hours searching the internet, going through directories and finding small businesses across the country. There we were, ordering from dozens of sites independently, multiple check-outs, multiple shipping orders and it was a lot to keep track of. The whole time thinking to ourselves...there has to be a better way. From that experience Shop4Canadians.com was born!
Researching Canadian made products to see what type of things were made in Canada was an amazing experience! We spent hundreds of hours on websites and were stunned and then AMAZED by the fabulous things that are made right here in Canada. The quality of Canadian made products is unsurpassed world wide. The products really blew us away, but the most amazing part was the businesses, or more specifically the people behind the businesses. The families, the entrepreneurs, the empowered women, the skillled crafts people, the creative designers, the growers and producers. The ingenuity behind these products was incredible. We've read over 2,000 "about us" stories on websites and are humbled by what we've read. Your stories, your beginnings, your families, your friends, your businessess have completely inspired our journey and we are passionate about supporting you!
Being Canadian means giving back. Many, Many of the websites we visited all give back. They support amazing causes, charities, programs, community wellness and so much more. You all truly define what it means to be Canadian and we couldn't be more proud to be a small part of that.
